By accessing or using Leora ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Platform.
Leora is an AI-powered platform that enables educators ("Teachers") to create, manage, and distribute online courses, and enables learners ("Students") to access and engage with those courses. The Platform provides tools including AI-powered tutoring, quiz generation, content processing, and multilingual subtitles.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.
Teachers are solely responsible for the content they upload and publish on the Platform. By uploading content, you represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to use and distribute such content. Leora acts as a technology intermediary and does not verify, endorse, or approve Teacher content. Teachers must not upload content that is illegal, infringes third-party intellectual property, is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful.
Teachers retain ownership of the content they upload. By uploading content, you grant Leora a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Platform. This license terminates when you remove your content from the Platform. Leora retains ownership of all Platform features, design, code, and AI models.
Paid courses are processed through Stripe. Leora charges a commission on each sale as defined by the Teacher's plan. Teachers receive payments directly to their connected Stripe account. Refund policies are determined by applicable consumer protection laws. AI Credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used.
The Platform uses artificial intelligence to generate quizzes, tutoring responses, course summaries, and subtitles. AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may contain errors. Leora does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. AI tutoring is not a substitute for professional instruction.
You may not: use the Platform for any illegal purpose; upload malware or harmful code; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform or other users' accounts; scrape, crawl, or collect data from the Platform; impersonate another person or entity; use the Platform to harass, bully, or threaten others.
Leora reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, applicable laws, or that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Platform or its users. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that repeatedly violate these Terms.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Leora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform. Leora's total liability shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Leora in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Leora and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Italian Republic and the European Union. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Naples, Italy.
